Smoking Cessation Advice

We fully support patients in choosing healthy lifestyles and promote the NHS “SmokeFree”' Specialist service which patients may self refer into by signing online on http://www.justbecroydon.org

Patients Over 75 Years

If you are aged 75 years or over, you will have a named GP to co-coordinate your care.  You should be seen annually either by your doctor, the practice nurse, district nurse or community matron. This can be arranged at the surgery or, if that is not possible due to infirmity, a home visit may be arranged.

Blood Tests

Patients can book to have their blood tests with the Nurse on Friday mornings. Please call Reception to make appointments.

Cervical Smear

It is the policy of the practice to recommend that all women have a cervical smear at least every three to five years. If you have not had a smear within this period, please make an appointment with the practice nurse. Smear results are posted to you in approximately one month.

Flu Vaccination

We recommend that anyone with chronic illness and everyone over the age of 65, especially if living alone, should have a vaccination to help prevent influenza every autumn. Watch for our posters in the surgery waiting room.

Travel Abroad

Our practice nurse is available to offer medical advice regarding travel and vaccinations where appropriate. Do plan ahead - don't leave your vaccinations until the last minute. Give details of your proposed journeys to a receptionist about six to eight weeks before you travel and the nurse will give you advice on the vaccinations you need.

Non NHS Service

The Practice has treatments and procedures which are not free on the NHS, and for these there is a charge. The list of services and charges are displayed in the waiting room. Please ask reception staff for details.
