Practice Charter

practice charter

Selhurst Medical Centre is a small and friendly medical practice in South London. We aim at all times to provide our patients with the best quality medical care. Our charter is a statement of what you can expect from this practice and what we feel we can expect in return from you.

What to expect from us

We will treat you with courtesy and respect at all times irrespective of your age, sex, race or nature of illness. We will offer you a high standard of medical care. The doctor and health professionals concerned undertake to maintain these standards through continuing Audit of your care and through professional learning. You can access your health records, subject to legal requirements. Your records will be kept confidential at all times.

We will give you full information about the services we offer. Every effort will be made to ensure that you receive the information which directly affects your health and the care being offered.

What we expect of you

We expect you to be honest in your dealings with us; make sure we have everything we need to know in order to help you. We also expect you to treat us with the same courtesy and respect that you expect to receive.

Please do everything you can to keep appointments. Tell us as soon as possible if you cannot. You may only ask for home visits by the doctor when the person is too ill to visit the surgery. Please be patient if we are running late; on another occasion it might be you who needs the extra time.
To keep your record up to date, let us know if you change your name and address and remember to include your postcode.
